This policy explains what personal information Charlotte Robinson LLC (“we”, “us”) collects through charlotterobinsonllc.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
Information you send us. If you use the contact form, it opens your own email app with a message addressed to us. Your name, email address and message reach us only when you send that email. We do not receive form entries through the website itself, and we never store them in a database on the site. If you email us directly, we receive whatever you choose to include.
Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider automatically records basic request data in server logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of visit. We do not use this data to identify you or build profiles.
What we do not collect. The site does not set cookies, does not use analytics or advertising trackers, and does not load third-party embeds. Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so your browser does not contact Google or other font services.
Accessibility settings. If you choose settings in the accessibility panel, your browser saves them locally so they stay on across pages and visits. They never leave your device, we cannot see them, and they contain no personal information. See our Cookie Policy for details.
How we use it
We use information you send us to reply to your message, discuss possible work together, and keep business records. We use server logs to keep the site secure and running.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law and similar state laws. We do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling. We rely on service providers, such as our website host and email provider, who process information only on our behalf. We may also disclose information when the law requires it or to protect our rights.
How long we keep it
Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to handle your inquiry, run our business and meet legal obligations. Server logs are kept by our host for a short period under its own retention settings.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy;
- ask us to correct inaccurate information;
- ask us to delete your personal information;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and of targeted advertising or profiling. We do none of these, so there is nothing to opt out of;
- limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect any;
- not be treated differently for using these rights.
To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, and we will answer within 60 days. If you are still unhappy, you can contact your state attorney general.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. Because we do not track visitors, sell or share personal information, we have nothing to change when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a valid opt-out request regardless.
Information in the last 12 months. In the past 12 months, the only personal information we may have collected is what people chose to send us by email (identifiers such as name and email address, and the content of their message). We have not sold or shared any personal information in that time.
Children
This website is for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to other websites, including our clients’ and our developer’s. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles personal information, for example by adding analytics, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
